Musashi Sushi is a no frills sushi train located in the gigantic Kyoto Station complex. Every plate costs a measly ¥140! (¥130 + tax) but not let the cheap price put you off because you’ll find some decent sushi. Once you enter, ask for the English menu and start your eating spree!
One of the more peculiar plates on offer was Horse Meat & Mane. The mane has a fatty texture while the raw meat is similar to lean beef.
I ended up eating a total of 15 plates and it only set me back ¥2,100 which was around $22 AUD based on the exchange rate last year!
If the photos haven’t made you hungry yet then check out my quick video of the conveyor belt below!
Good: Cheap, decent sushi, no Japanese language required
Bad: Some plates have no names, quality can vary by each plate
Perfect for: Quick lunch or dinner, meal for a train ride
