Royce Chocolates was established in Japan in 1983 and has now expanded overseas. It currently has two stores in Australia, one in Adelaide and the other in Chatswood. The small store is located near the entrance to level 4 of Westfield. On the day I went, I was happily greeted by a Japanese lady who offered samples, after tasting 3 flavours I settled on their most popular Au Lait flavour. The service was impeccable, complete with a traditional bow and Arigatou, which transported me back to Japan. In addition, she explained the storage instructions for the chocolate while she wrapped the box in a special cooling bag which would keep my previous chocolate cubes cool and safe.
After you remove the cooling bag and the outer package you are greeted with a little wooden pick and a small pamphlet. Remove the foil and you can now marvel at this delicious creation that came from Japan.
