KIN by us. – Macquarie

Usually if one has a brunch craving, one must travel to the city or the inner west. If you live in Northern Sydney then I’ve got good news for you. KIN by us. will soon become your favourite local brunch spot!

Fun fact: The cafe is owned by Uel & Shannelle, the newly competitors of My Kitchen Rules. Which is why the cafe is by “us”, it’s their initials.

2 words. DURIAN AFFOGATO. That’s right the folks at KIN by us. have created a crazy concoction that you will either love or hate. Personally, I love durian and this drink smells divine to me.

If you are the less adventurous, there’s an excellent array of coffee, tea and milkshakes to keep you hydrated. But life is short, so order the Durian Affogato.

The mains at KIN by us. are not only scrumptious, they also have pun-ny names like Chew Bak Kwa (pictured below) and Miso Yummy. My Waffle Belly (pictured above) consists of a succelent caramel soy pork belly, gooey onsen egg and a potato waffle. It’s capped off with crunchy cabbage and some earthy mushrooms.

If you like bacon (who doesn’t), pick the Chew Bak Kwa! There’s corn fritter waffle, avocado puree, cherry tomatoes and of course Bak Kwa bacon!

KIN by us. is a culinary Godsend for everyone in the Northern Sydney area. Make sure you come in early because the place gets packed really quickly!

Also, parking is very limited as the cafe is situated under a block of apartments. If you are driving, park at Macquarie shopping centre and walk over.
