Cathay Pacific Business Lounge – London Heathrow Airport

Exquisite showers, tasty food and relaxing decor makes the Cathay Pacific Business Lounge the perfect refuge from the bustle of Heathrow Airport.

The lounge is located at Terminal 3 departures near Gate 11. Look out for the large “Lounge C” sign and head upstairs using the elevators.

Access to the lounge is available to all passengers flying first or business class on Cathay Pacific or any Oneworld member airlines. Additionally, Oneworld Sapphire and Emerald elite status holders can also enter.

Opening hours for the lounge are 5:30 am to last departure (Monday to Saturday) and 7:30 am to last departure (Sunday).

Wooden panelling combined with leather furniture creates a warm, inviting ambience. The lounge is separated into distinct areas (dining, bar, work and showers) which is practical for guests and helps lessen any overcrowding.

The most popular seats are the ones next to the floor to ceiling windows which provide a great view of the runaways.

Cathay Pacific’s trademark noodle bar is present at this lounge and offers a variety of made to order dishes. On my most recent trip, the menu included:

  • Wonton noodles in soup
  • Dan dan mien
  • Vegetable noodles in miso soup
  • Singapore Laksa
  • Stir fried egg rice with BBQ pork

My go to meal when I visit are the wonton noodles and mixed dim sum. Both are well made though on the smaller side in terms of portions. If you prefer to pick and choose, there’s a buffet of hot and cold dishes near the bar area.

Those looking to unwind will be pleased to find a very well stocked bar with wine, spirits, beer and cocktails. Non alcoholic drinks like juice and soft drinks are stored in several self serve fridges while tea and coffee can be found near the water taps.

Power points and USB outlets can be found throughout the lounge, though the dining area has the most with several at each booth. WiFi is easy to access, stable and relatively fast.

Nestled at the very back of the lounge is a cosy business center with 3 iMacs and a printer.

The highlight of the lounge is definitely the marble covered shower room. The rain shower, Aesop amenities and gold tap ware really adds a luxurious feel, the only downside is the constant demand for the facilities. Fortunately, there’s a buzzer system in place, so guests can wait in the lounge for a shower to open up.

On the sink, there’s an extensive set of toiletries and several Aesop cleansers and lotions.

The Cathay Pacific Business Lounge is hands down my favourite Oneworld lounge at Heathrow airport.
